This Brown Bag forum will provide a comprehensive introduction to terminology, processes, and policies involved in doing credit card processing at UCSB. It will feature an overview of Payment Card Industry (PCI) security standards, and what you need to do to comply with these standards. Topics to be covered include:

  • Credit card approval and acceptance processes
  • Campus policies and procedures
  • Merchant accounts and gateway providers
  • Third-party vendors and vendor contracts
  • Use of University logo and name
  • Reconciling accounts
  • Data security, PCI standards and compliance
  • Department responsibilities
  • Questions
