To align with UCSB IT strategy, Pantheon log-ins will require multi-factor authentication (MFA) with Duo beginning October 22. This change only affects logging into Pantheon's dashboard and will not change how you log into your Drupal or WordPress sites. To prepare for MFA integration, please review the instructions for configuring Duo at www.it.ucsb.edu/mfa.
As you have probably heard by now, a key component of UCSB's IT strategy is to improve our security posture and strengthen information assurance. One of the most important things we can do to protect our technology infrastructure is to require multi-factor authentication before granting privileged or administrative access to services. Earlier this year, UCSB acquired Duo as our preferred MFA technology.
It only takes a few minutes to install the app on your smartphone and link it to your UCSB account. If you do not have a smartphone, the website also lists alternative authentication methods.
