VPN Service Problems

Users of the campus VPN service began experiencing connectivity problems on Sunday, Sept. 19. The problem is due to a necessary change in the SSL certificate used to secure the initial connection to the server. An alternative server had been under development, and MacOS users may find a replacement VPN client and installation instructions at https://ftp.ucsb.edu/private/secured/vpn/ovpn/mac/. A replacement Windows client will likely be available later today, Tuesday, Sept. 21st.  VPN service information is available at http://www.oit.ucsb.edu/network_services/VPN_service/.
