Online Training Evaluation Project

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

This project was launched in fall 2011 by the ITPG Communications Subcommittee.  The first stage of the project is to evaluate the software training offered by Lynda.com.

The Stage I evaluation, scheduled for January 18-February 29, 2012, was initiated to assess the quality of Lynda.com training, and determine the extent to which its Online Training Library meets software training needs for students, faculty, and staff at UCSB.

Forty student, faculty, and staff volunteers representing over 25 departments and programs are participated in the evaluation, using six-week premium trial accounts supplied by Lynda.com. Each participant was asked to complete at least one Lynda.com training course, assess the overall offerings in relation to his or her needs and interests, and complete a short evaluation survey.

To view this project's survey results and draft Evaluation Report and Proposal, use the link in the upper right hand corner of the screen to log in with your UCSBNetID and password.
