Send a Google Calendar Invitation to an Oracle or Outlook Calendar User

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

When scheduling a meeting or event in the Google Calendar you may include in the attendees list the email addresses of Oracle or Outlook Calendar users.  The emailed notification will automatically include a calendaring attachment.  Outlook should automatically recognize the attachment and prompt the user to add the event to their calendar.  An Oracle Calendar user may be using a variety of email clients.  Various email clients may not automatically prompt the user to confirm their attendance.  An Oracle Calendar user who wishes to import the meeting in to their Oracle Calendar must save the attachment to their workstation and then import it in to their Oracle Calendar.  Location information and other information should be imported, and if the meeting is recurring, a recurring meeting should be created.
