Host: Welcome to The Accessibility Minute! I am your host, Alx Sanchez, and today we are building better documents.

Whether you're a hardcore HTML nerd or making Canva magic you saw on TikTok, we need to talk about hyperlinks!

Using phrases like 'Click here' or 'Read more' is a massive accessibility roadblock. To meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, the purpose of your link must be clear from its text. Why? Because screen reader users often navigate by pulling up a menu of just the links on your page. Imagine hearing 'click here, click here, click here' over and over—super frustrating, right?

Whether you're in a Google Doc, a PDF, or on a website, describe exactly where that link goes. Instead of 'Click here for the report,' use 'Read the 2026 Annual Report.' Make your links meaningful so everyone knows their exact destination!
