Light gray text might look sleek, but for many users, it’s a nightmare to read! To meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, your standard text must have a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against its background.
There are exceptions, though! Large text—meaning 18-point regular or 14-point bold—requires only a 3 to 1 ratio. Graphics and user interface components like buttons also need a minimum 3 to 1 ratio, while your brand logo is completely exempt.
Don't leave it to guesswork. Run your presentation through a free online contrast checker before you hit publish. Great contrast isn't just a requirement—it ensures everyone can actually read your brilliant ideas!
