The UCSB Campus Cloud team invites you to attend the “Enable & Accelerate Research” workshop on Tuesday, May 2 from 10 a.m. to noon, the first of three sessions in our “Research on AWS” series. Scott Friedman, AWS’ Higher Education Research Leader, will discuss how Amazon Web Services (AWS) can help accelerate Research on the UCSB campus, with special attention to the following topics:
- Research trends
- What is happening in AWS/Research around the UC system
- Costs and compliance in AWS
This session will take place in Elings Hall room 1605. In-person attendance is highly encouraged, but a Zoom option is available for those who cannot attend in person. Please fill out this Google Form to register and indicate your attendance mode. Note that in-person attendance will be capped based on room capacity.
Additionally, AWS experts will be on-site on Tuesday afternoon to host one-on-one or team discussions. If you’d like to validate an architecture, discuss a service, or ask additional questions, please sign up for a 30-minute session.
