In collaboration with various departments across campus, the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) offers UCSB students an opportunity to hone their professional skills through the IT Internship Program.
Each year, undergraduates are matched to projects preparing them for careers in the expanding field of information technology. In addition to individualized, year-long projects in areas such as data analytics, cloud architecture and application development, the cohort experiences the benefits of camaraderie through professional development activities like Crucial Conversations, Lean Six Sigma, networking, project management, public speaking, emotional intelligence, resume reviews, managing implicit bias, and change management.
This program offers a collaborative environment to obtain both curricular and professional experience. While there is no experience necessary to apply, the participants must demonstrate an eagerness to learn and a willingness to develop connections with fellow cohort members.
The UCSB IT Internship Program opportunities are posted to Handshake during Fall quarter of each academic year.
