The application window for the Summer 2023 Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Green Belt cohort is now open. Interested applicants should apply using this application form by Friday, June 30. 

Green Belt applicants must obtain their manager’s/supervisor’s endorsement and submit a project proposal. Selected applicants will be announced by July 7 and asked to confirm their participation prior to orientation.

The Green Belt training includes:

  • A virtual orientation session in early July (date/time TBD)
  • Two 2-day, in-person training sessions from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
    • Wednesday, July 19 and Thursday, July 20
    • Tuesday, August 8 and Wednesday, August 9
  • One asynchronous online class
  • Assigned reading, homework, and quizzes
  • Final project presentations on Thursday, October 12

Please note that completing the LSS Yellow Belt program is not a requirement, but it can provide a solid start to your continuous improvement journey and assist you in preparing for your project.

Lean Six Sigma Management Open House

We encourage department heads, managers, and supervisors to attend a virtual Lean Six Sigma Management Open House on Thursday, June 15 at 9 a.m. In this informational session, the LSS team will discuss the advantages of supporting your staff in pursuing this professional development opportunity (offered at no cost to departments) and share the expected learning outcomes for those who are considering this training.
